The Misfits, 1961

I've been ill in bed all day so I decided to watch The Misfits. The sight of Clark Gable usually cheers me uo when I'm feeling under the weather. One of my favourite moments of this film is the exchange between Roslyn (Marilyn Monroe) and disillusioned cowboy Perce (Montgomery Clift):

Perce: So what I want to know... what I want to know is: who do you depend on?

Roslyn: I don't know. Maybe all there really is is just the next thing. The next thing that happens. Maybe you're not supposed to remember anybody's promises.

Christian Dior Spring 2010

Looks from Dior's Spring 2010 runway show. Lots of fluffy Harlow curls and Veronica Lake waves, groomed brows and classic red lips. The model on second photo is Siri Tollerød, my new favourite.

I love the style of nail polish, leaving the half moons bare - a technique also favoured by Dita Von Teese.
I think I might have to attempt this later!
